As reported by Amateur Federation of Worker’s Sport of Iran, the third edition of Germany’s international wrestling tournament was held on July 9-10 in the city of Stuttgart.
The event was attended by national teams from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Switzerland, Poland, Belarus, Afghanistan, Austria, Argentina, Hungary, Afghanistan, Iran in addition to three teams from Germany.
The Iranian workers wrestling outfit, comprising four representatives, managed to land in the second place by snatching three gold medals.
Mahdi Elmi (65kg), Ebrahim Valian (75kg) as well as Hadi Ghadimi (95kg) were Iran’s title winners at the sportive event.
The tournament was held in five weight categories including 65, 75, 85, 95 and +95 kilograms.
Alireza Jahanian, Iran’s representative at 85-kiogram weight group, was eliminated from the competitions due to a referee’s bad call.
